Statement

All the work that I have uploaded has been either from college projects or personal project work. I have a wide range of work that I enjoy creating. Computer based, pencil and ink, wood work, metal work, posters and digital and film photography.
I love making art during my free time, along with playing the piano, working at Monsoon and going out to the cinema, shopping, visiting art galleries and watching sports with my friends. I can’t wait to get back into education after my gap year. I feel that I have matured so much from taking this year out. I have travelled, worked and learnt a lot. I feel more confident, both in myself and in my work. I have seen a massive leap from the standard of work that I am producing.
University feels like a natural next step in my life and when looking around the courses available, Manchester stood out as a course with a great reputation, fantastic facilities and staff. Manchester itself seems like an amazing place to be a student, shopping, galleries and nightlife. My friends that are already at Manchester studying all say that they are having a wonderful time.
I'm really excited by the course at Manchester Metropolitan University. The facilities I saw whilst at the Open Day were among the best that I had seen and I could really see myself fitting in there and getting stuck into work! The course covers everything that I am passionate about, and more. I like how wide and free the course is, as I like to use a variety of skills and techniques and therefore, this course is perfect! I am able to use computer software that I am eager to learn to use, print workshop, photography and just the good old pen, ink and paint!
